Ensemble Foods is Certified Plant Based!

Plant-based refers to a type of diet that consists mainly — but not necessarily entirely — of vegetables, fruits, grains, pulses rather than animal products. The term plant-based has become more popular and attractive in recent years because it is less prescriptive than a Vegan diet in which absolutely no animal products can be consumed or used (including in clothes and household products). It appears more as a suggestion, or a way to guide people towards eating in a way that is more sustainable and healthful for the planet and the body.

At Ensemble, we are happy to be certified plant-based. Our mission is to encourage everyone to explore alternative options regardless of what diet you follow. We strive never to direct or oblige but to engage with and highlight wholesome ways of living! To clarify, our product is made of strictly plant-based ingredients—primarily wheat protein (derived from the wheat cereal grain), chickpeas (a type of legume), and vegetable stock!

According to Harvard Health, “Plant-based or plant-forward eating patterns focus on foods primarily from plants. This includes not only fruits and vegetables, but also nuts, seeds, oils, whole grains, legumes, and beans. It doesn't mean that you are vegetarian or vegan and never eat meat or dairy. Rather, you are proportionately choosing more of your foods from plant sources.”

Our plant-based chicken alternative is now officially Certified Plant Based by the Plant Based Foods Association (PBFA). This seal guarantees that our products are truly made from plants and there are no ingredients derived from animals.

At Ensemble Foods, we want to make it easy for consumers to align their food choices with their values and dietary practices. With Ensemble products, you are choosing a delicious source of protein and fiber that is made up of a short list of ingredients and completely from plants.

Eating a plant-based diet means choosing a more sustainable alternative to meat, helping you create the future you want to see: A healthier, more equitable world for all.
